You'll need your driver's license or license plate number or your car's VIN number.

You must have a social security number.
Steps

Click on Florida's Online GoRenew.com page.

The first step is to enter your driver license number. Alternatively, you may enter your car's tag/plate number. If you don't have either of these two things, you may enter your car's VIN number.

The second step is to enter your DOB (date of birth) AND last the last 4 digits of SSN.

Have your payment for fee ready. Fee is usually $5.00 plus any additional small fee that might be added (such as mailing fee). Regardless, you'll be given the exact cost to replace the registration online.

Forms of payment: All credit cards accepted.

Your new duplicate registration will be sent via mail and should arrive in no more than ten (10) business days.

Locate the address of your LOCAL COUNTY'S TAX COLLECTOR OFFICE OR visit a license plate agency.

Once inside the website of your county's web portal, find the section called Motor Vehicle Registration or Driver License (note: every county has a different web design, therefore you might need to spend a few minutes looking for this info).

Write down the physical address and prepare to drive there.

The Fee to have a duplicate registration issued is $5.00.
